Christ's Church in Rwanda (CCR) held its first public service on March 4, 2007. CCR received its provisional registration in June 2006. CCR's registration was gained through the efforts of Dave and Jana Jenkins who were sent by the Quail Springs Church of Christ in June 2005 after 11 years in Uganda followed by one-year at Oklahoma Christian University. This non-denominational, English speaking church sits in one of Kigali's most beautiful communities that was built as part of the government's Vision 2020.
CCR had its first service on March 4, 2007 with 332 in attendance. Attendance leveled off at around 140 following that first service. On most weeks CCR has attenders from around seven countries with about 20% expatriates and 80% Rwandese. This picture was taken that first Sunday.
